Jimmy Buffett (1946-2023) était un auteur-compositeur-interprète, musicien et écrivain américain connu pour son style musical "Parrothead", qui fusionne des éléments de country, folk, rock et calypso. Né à Pascagoula, Mississippi, Buffett a passé son enfance dans différentes localités des États-Unis avant de s'installer à Key West, en Floride, où il a commencé sa carrière musicale dans les années 1970. Son succès est dû à des chansons comme "Margaritaville", "Come Monday" et "Cheeseburger in Paradise", qui ont fait de Buffett une icône culturelle associée à une atmosphère détendue et paradisiaque. Outre la musique, Buffett a écrit plusieurs romans et essais, dont le best-seller "A Pirate Looks at Forty". Sa musique et sa personnalité ont inspiré une vaste communauté de fans, les "Parrotheads", qui célèbrent la vie simple et l'amour des vacances. Buffett est décédé en 2023 à l'âge de 76 ans.
