Echo and the Bunnymen sono un gruppo musicale britannico di Liverpool formatosi nel 1978. Il nucleo originario era composto da Ian McCulloch (voce), Will Sergeant (chitarra) e Les Pattinson (basso). In seguito si unì il batterista Pete de Freitas. Il loro debutto discografico, *Crocodiles*, risale al 1980, seguito da *Heaven Up Here* nel 1981. Entrambe le opere ottennero un notevole successo di critica e contribuirono a consolidare la reputazione del gruppo all'interno della scena musicale indipendente britannica. Nel 1983 raggiunsero il Top Ten con il singolo *The Cutter*, estratto dall'album *Porcupine*. Quest'ultimo, che si posizionò al secondo posto nelle classifiche, fu seguito da altri singoli di successo come *Never Stop* e *The Killing Moon*, diventato un loro brano iconico. L'album *Ocean Rain* del 1984 è considerato uno dei loro capolavori, con influenze post-punk e atmosfere sinfoniche. Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
