Hole était un groupe de rock américain formé à Los Angeles en 1989 par Courtney Love et Eric Erlandson. Le duo constituait le noyau stable du groupe, connu pour son son grunge-rock caractérisé par des mélodies accrocheuses et des paroles souvent provocatrices. Hole a atteint la renommée internationale grâce à la personnalité controversée de Love, qui s'est distinguée par ses performances énergiques et ses comportements excentriques. Le groupe a sorti trois albums studio : *Pretty on the Inside* (1991), *Live Through This* (1994) et *Celebrity Skin* (1998).
