Little Brother est un groupe de hip hop américain originaire de Durham, Caroline du Nord. Le duo est composé des rappeurs Phonte et Rapper Big Pooh, avec le producteur 9th Wonder qui faisait partie du groupe depuis sa création mais s'est séparé avant l'enregistrement de l'album *Getback*. Leur album de début, *The Listening* (2003), a été très acclamé. Suivi par le mixtape *The Chitlin Circuit 1.5* en 2005 et le deuxième album du groupe, *The Minstrel Show*, également sorti en 2005, qui a reçu des critiques positives de magazines comme XXL (qui leur a attribué un "XL") et The Source (4,5 Mics). Le groupe fait fréquemment des tournées avec leur DJ officiel, Flash. Dans une interview avec MVRemix.com, Phonte a expliqué l'origine du nom du groupe : « Tribe, De La, P.E....étaient comme nos grands frères dans le jeu, alors maintenant nous sommes les petits frères de ce mouvement...en continuant la tradition de bonne musique ».

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
