The Wombats sono un gruppo musicale indie rock originario di Liverpool, in Inghilterra. Il trio è composto da Matthew Murphy (voce, chitarra), Dan Haggis (batteria) e Tord Øverland-Knudsen (basso), proveniente dalla Norvegia. Attivi dal 2003, hanno conquistato un seguito internazionale con la loro musica energica e orecchiabile, caratterizzata da riff di chitarra accattivanti, melodie memorabili e testi ironici e introspettivi. Il loro debutto discografico, "The Wombats Proudly Present: A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation", uscito nel 2007, ha riscosso un grande successo, con singoli come "Let's Dance to Joy Division" e "Moving to New York". Tra i loro album più importanti si annoverano anche "This Modern Glitch" (2011) e "Glitterbug" (2014). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
