Les White Stripes sont un duo de rock américain formé à Detroit, Michigan en 1997. Le groupe est composé de Jack White (chant, guitare, basse, claviers) et Meg White (batterie). Considérés comme l'un des piliers du revival garage rock des années 2000, ils ont atteint la renommée internationale avec des albums comme *White Blood Cells* (2001) et *Elephant* (2003), ce dernier considéré comme l'un des meilleurs albums de rock de la décennie. Leur son est caractérisé par des riffs de guitare puissants, des paroles directes et une approche minimaliste de la musique. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
