Toto est un groupe de rock américain, lauréat d'un Grammy Award, formé en 1976. Ils ont dominé les classements au début des années 80 avec une série de succès, notamment «Africa» et «Rosanna». Le groupe a su combiner des éléments de hard rock, de rock progressif et de jazz fusion, créant un son distinctif qui a conquis le public international. Parmi les membres fondateurs figurent Steve Lukather (guitare), David Paich (claviers) et Jeff Porcaro (batterie). Toto a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes renommés à l'échelle mondiale, notamment Michael Jackson et Paul Simon. Certains de leurs albums les plus importants incluent «Toto IV» (1982) et «Isolation» (1984). Outre «Africa» et «Rosanna», d'autres chansons représentatives sont «Hold the Line», «I'll Be Over You» et «99 Luftballons».

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
