Styx è una rock band americana di grande successo, attiva dal 1972 ad oggi. Considerati uno dei pilastri del progressive rock degli anni '70 e '80, hanno venduto oltre 30 milioni di dischi negli Stati Uniti. Il loro sound si caratterizza per l'uso di sintetizzatori, melodie orecchiabili e testi spesso epici. Tra i loro brani più famosi figurano "Suite Madame Blue", "Lady", "Come Sail Away", "Renegade" e "Babe". L'album "Paradise Theatre" (1981) è considerato uno dei loro capolavori, con l'inclusione del singolo "Mr. Roboto", che divenne un successo internazionale.
