Mors Principium Est è una band finlandese di melodic death metal proveniente da Pori. Attiva dal 1995, il gruppo ha pubblicato numerosi album in studio, consolidando la propria posizione nel panorama musicale underground europeo. Il loro sound si caratterizza per un mix di melodie orecchiabili e riff aggressivi, influenzato da band come Children of Bodom e In Flames. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Unholy Grail", "Blood and Iron" e "A New Dawn".
