Faith comes
Like a flame
Like a fever
All the same
Pain comes
Like the rain
Wash you clean
Melt away
Time moves
Like the wind
Like a whisper
To defend
Wounds heal
And they fade
Like the winter
Only our true self is carried away
Maybe it's wishful thinking
But I think I still believe
Maybe I'm done
Pretending for once
'Cause I think it's bigger than you or me
So maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And I hope that you're out there
Looking back at me
Fear comes
Like a veil
Just a story
That we tell
Love moves
In the end
It's an ocean
Only our true self is carried away
Away
Maybe it's wishful thinking
But I think I still believe
Maybe I'm done
Pretending for once
'Cause I think it's bigger than you or me
So maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And I hope that you're out there
Hope that you're out there
Maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And I hope that you're out there
Hope that you're out there
Maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And hope that you're out there
Looking back at me
What can wash away me? Yeah
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
What can wash away me? Yeah
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
Lost in this place
The roots and the branches
Entangled our hearts
Blocking our faith
The distance between
We're struggling to find you
When darkness divides
You come light up this place
Yeah
Maybe it's wishful thinking
But I think I still believe
Maybe I'm done
Pretending for once
'Cause I think it's bigger than you or me
So maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And I hope that you're out there
Hope that you're out there
Maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And I hope that you're out there
Hope that you're out there
Maybe tonight I will send out a prayer
And hope that you're out there
Looking back at me
What can wash away me? Yeah
Nothing but the—
Nothing but the—
