Rock Star Supernova è stato un supergruppo formato tramite una realtà televisiva, composto dal batterista Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), dal bassista Jason Newsted (ex-Metallica e Voivod), dal chitarrista Gilby Clarke (ex-Guns N' Roses) e dal cantante Lukas Rossi. Nel 2009 la formazione del gruppo si è modificata con l'ingresso di Johnny Colt al basso, mentre Tommy Lee e Gilby Clarke sono rimasti in posizione. Il gruppo ha pubblicato un album omonimo nel 2006 che ha raggiunto il secondo posto nella classifica Billboard 200. Tra i brani più noti del gruppo ricordiamo 'Somebody to Love', 'Can't Stop the Bleeding' e 'The Ballad of Rock Star Supernova'.
