Mary Lambert est une réalisatrice américaine connue pour son travail dans le cinéma indépendant et son attention portée à la représentation de thèmes sociaux et politiques. Née à Seattle, Washington, Lambert a étudié la réalisation à l'Université de Californie, Los Angeles (UCLA). Son premier long métrage, *Pet Sematary*, sorti en 1989, est devenu un film culte grâce à son approche troublante de l'histoire de Stephen King. Parmi ses œuvres les plus notables figurent également *Runaway Train* (1985) et *Sliver* (1993). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
