Therion est un groupe suédois de heavy metal formé en 1987 à Väsby, une banlieue de Stockholm. Considérés comme des pionniers du symphonic metal, ils ont traversé plusieurs phases stylistiques, du black metal initial au metal progressif, incorporant des éléments classiques, orchestrales et même folk dans leur musique. Le groupe est connu pour ses performances live épiques et dramatiques et l'utilisation d'un large éventail d'instruments, notamment des chœurs, des cordes et des claviers. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives figurent "To Mega Therion", "Theli" et "Cult of Fire". L'album "Lemuria" (1996) est considéré comme un tournant dans leur carrière, marquant leur entrée dans le symphonic metal avec des influences classiques. Therion a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes, notamment la soprano d'opéra Sarah Brightman. Le groupe continue d'être actif et d'enregistrer de nouveaux albums.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
