Quiet Riot est un groupe américain de heavy metal formé à Los Angeles en 1975 par Randy Rhoads (guitare) et Kelly Garni (batterie). Après une période de changements de formation, le groupe a connu un succès international avec l'album *Metal Health* de 1983, qui comprenait le single *Cum On Feel the Noize*, une reprise de Slade. L'album est devenu le premier album de heavy metal à atteindre la première place du classement Billboard 200 aux États-Unis. Rhoads a quitté le groupe en 1979 pour rejoindre Black Sabbath, mais son influence sur le son de Quiet Riot est toujours perceptible. La formation suivante a continué à publier des albums à succès jusqu'aux années 90, avec des chansons comme *The Wild Boys* et *Mama Weer All Crazee Now*. Quiet Riot reste l'une des groupes de heavy metal les plus influents des années 80.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
