Gym Class Heroes est un groupe américain de hip-hop formé en 1998 à Geneva, New York. Leur son se caractérise par une fusion d'éléments de rap, de pop punk et de rock alternatif. Le groupe a connu le succès commercial grâce à sa collaboration avec Fall Out Boy, notamment au single "Stereo Hearts" de 2010 qui a dominé les classements américains. Parmi les morceaux les plus connus de Gym Class Heroes figurent également "Cupid's Chokehold", "The Fighter" et "Clothes Off!" . Le groupe a sorti six albums studio, dont l'album certifié disque d'or "As Cruel As School Children" en 2006.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
