Bubba Sparxxx, dont le vrai nom est Warren Anderson Mathis, est un rappeur américain né en Géorgie en 1977. Actif depuis 2000, il a connu la gloire avec son album de début *Dark Days Bright Nights*, qui comprenait le tube *Ugly*. Sa musique mélange des éléments du rap traditionnel avec des influences country et bluegrass, créant un style unique appelé «Southern hip-hop». Sparxxx est connu pour ses rimes complexes et son accent du Sud distinctif. Parmi ses albums les plus importants figurent *The Bubba Sparxxx EP* (2001) et *Deliverance* (2003). Il a collaboré avec des artistes comme Lil Jon, Timbaland et David Banner. Certains de ses morceaux les plus représentatifs sont *Ugly*, *Ms. New Booty*, *What's Your Name?* et *The South*.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
