Kid Ink, dont le vrai nom est Brian Todd Collins, est un rappeur, chanteur et producteur de disques américain. Né à Los Angeles en 1986, Kid Ink a commencé sa carrière musicale en publiant des mixtapes indépendantes au début des années 2000. En 2012, il a sorti son premier album indépendant *Up and Away*, suivi du EP *Almost Home*. Son premier album studio, *My Own Lane*, est sorti en 2014 et a connu un succès commercial notable grâce aux singles "Show Me", "Iz U Down" et "Main Chick". En 2015, il a publié son troisième album studio *Full Speed*, qui a engendré d'autres succès tels que "Body Language", "Hotel" et "Be Real". Kid Ink est connu pour son style musical caractérisé par des rythmes hip-hop modernes, des influences R and B et des mélodies accrocheuses. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
