DJ Kay Slay est un DJ et producteur de disques américain connu pour son style percutant dans le genre hip-hop. Actif depuis la fin des années 1990, il s'est fait connaître comme l'un des pionniers du mixtape, contribuant au lancement de la carrière de nombreux artistes émergents. Il est considéré comme une figure clé de la scène hip-hop new-yorkaise et a collaboré avec certains des noms les plus importants du genre, notamment Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg et Eminem. Parmi ses œuvres les plus notables figurent les mixtapes "Streetsweeper", "More Than Just A DJ" et "74 Minutes of Drama". Son style se caractérise par un rythme effréné et des échantillons audacieux, qui ont contribué à définir l'esthétique du hip-hop underground.
