U2 est un groupe irlandais de rock alternatif formé à Dublin en 1976. Le groupe se compose de Paul David Hewson, connu sous le nom de Bono (chanteur), David Howell Evans, connu sous le nom de The Edge (guitariste), Adam Clayton (bassiste) et Larry Mullen Jr. (batteur).
