The Presets sono un duo australiano di Sydney formato da Julian Hamilton e Kim Moyes. I due si sono incontrati nel 1995 al Sydney Conservatorium of Music, dove entrambi studiavano musica. Nel settembre 2005 hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, *Beams*, che ha ricevuto una risposta critica positiva. Il loro secondo album, *Apocaylpso*, è stato rilasciato il 12 aprile 2008. L'album è diventato un successo commerciale e critico, vincendo i premi ARIA per "Best Dance Release" e "Best Group", diventando il primo atto elettronico a vincere il prestigioso premio "Album of the Year". Hanno anche vinto i premi APRA del 2009 per "Best Songwriters Of The Year" e l'ARIA Award del 2009 per Best Dance Release per *Talk Like That*. Tra le loro canzoni più rappresentative ricordiamo *My People*, *Are You The One?*, *The Biology of Love* e *Pulse*.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
