Gang of Four è un gruppo post-punk inglese originario di Leeds, attivo dal 1977 al 1984 e poi riformato in diverse occasioni negli anni '90 con Jon King e Andy Gill. La formazione originale comprendeva il cantante Jon King, il chitarrista Andy Gill, il bassista Dave Allen e il batterista Hugo Burnham. Nel 2004 si è riunito l'intero gruppo originale, ma nel 2006 Allen è stato sostituito dal bassista Thomas McNeice e Burnham dal batterista Mark Heaney. Gang of Four è noto per la sua musica politicamente carica, influenzata dal funk e dal reggae, con testi incisivi che affrontano temi sociali e politici. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano 'Damaged Goods', 'Ether', 'Natural's Not in It' e 'I Found Love'. L'album di debutto omonimo del 1979 è considerato un classico del post-punk.
