Motion City Soundtrack est un groupe de rock américain originaire de Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formé en 1997, le groupe a connu des changements dans sa formation au fil des ans, mais les membres fondateurs Justin Pierre (chant et guitare) et Joshua Cain (guitare et chœurs) restent des éléments essentiels du projet. Completant la formation se trouvent Jesse Johnson (claviers et synthétiseur Moog), Matthew Taylor (basse et chœurs) et Tony Thaxton (batterie, percussions et chœurs). Motion City Soundtrack a sorti quatre albums studio, vendant près de 600 000 exemplaires dans le monde entier, dont plus d'un demi-million aux États-Unis. Parmi les chansons les plus représentatives du groupe figurent "Everything Is Alright", "The Only One", "My Favorite Part of Me" et "Disappear".
