I New York Dolls sono un gruppo rock americano formatosi a New York City nel 1971. Considerati pionieri del glam rock, hanno influenzato generazioni di musicisti con il loro stile provocatorio e teatrale, caratterizzato da abiti sgargianti, trucco eccessivo e performance energiche. Il gruppo ha pubblicato tre album negli anni '70: "New York Dolls" (1973), "Too Much Too Soon" (1974) e "Quiet Please... The New York Dolls Are Recording" (1976). Dopo lo scioglimento originale, i New York Dolls si sono riuniti nel 2004 con tre membri originali, tra cui David Johansen e Sylvain Sylvain. Nel 2006 hanno pubblicato l'album "One Day It Will Please Us to Remember Everything", seguito da "Cause I Sez So" (2011). Arthur Kane, il bassista originale, è morto poco dopo il primo concerto di reunion del gruppo nel 2004. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: "Personality Crisis", "Looking for a Kiss", "Trash".

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
