Art Brut è una band indie rock inglese e tedesca formatasi a Londra negli anni 2000. Il nome della band deriva dalla definizione di arte Outsider del pittore francese Jean Dubuffet, che includeva opere create da prigionieri, solitari, malati mentali e altre figure marginalizzate, senza preoccupazione per l'imitazione o la presentazione. Art Brut è stata spesso associata al movimento "Art Wave" insieme a band come Athlete, Franz Ferdinand e Bloc Party. Il loro album di debutto, *Bang Bang Rock and Roll*, è uscito nel 2005, seguito da *It's a Bit Complicated* nel 2007. Il sound della band è caratterizzato da riff energici, testi ironici e un approccio diretto al rock 'n' roll. Tra i brani più noti di Art Brut figurano "Formed a Band", "She's a Gun" e "Direct Hit".
