Project Pat, dont le vrai nom est Patrick Earl Houston, est un rappeur américain originaire de Memphis, Tennessee. Actif depuis la fin des années 1990, il est connu pour son style agressif et ses rimes tranchantes, fortement influencé par la scène hip-hop locale de Memphis. Il est considéré comme l'un des membres fondateurs du groupe Three 6 Mafia, bien qu'il ait également connu un succès en tant qu'artiste solo. Parmi ses morceaux les plus célèbres figurent "I'm a G", "Chickenhead" et "Rock N Roll". Project Pat a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes, notamment Lil Jon, Snoop Dogg et Eminem. Sa musique se caractérise par un son sombre et lugubre, souvent accompagné de rythmes sinistres et de paroles qui explorent des thèmes comme la violence, le crime et la vie dans la rue.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
