Patterson Hood è un cantautore e musicista statunitense, noto soprattutto come cofondatore e frontman del gruppo rock alternativo Drive-By Truckers. Nato in Alabama nel 1963, Hood ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 con diverse band locali prima di formare i Drive-By Truckers nel 1996. Il suo stile musicale è caratterizzato da testi introspettivi e realistici che affrontano temi come la vita rurale americana, il dolore, l'alcolismo e la politica.
