Tanita Tikaram est une chanteuse-auteure-compositrice britannique d'origine indienne, née à Singapour en 1964. Sa musique se caractérise par un son folk-pop introspectif, influencé par des éléments reggae et de la musique du monde. Son album de début, *Ancient Heart*, sorti en 1988, a connu un succès international énorme, vendant des millions d'exemplaires et l'établissant comme l'une des artistes les plus aimées des années 90.
