Scott Richard Weiland (né Scott Richard Kline, 27 octobre 1967 – 3 décembre 2015) était un chanteur et musicien américain. Connu pour son style vocal puissant et caractéristique, Weiland a atteint la renommée internationale en tant que leader du groupe de rock Stone Temple Pilots, actif de 1989 à 2013. Avec les STP, il a remporté deux Grammy Awards et a contribué à définir le hard rock des années 90 avec des albums à succès comme *Core* (1992) et *Purple* (1994). En 2002, après la rupture de Stone Temple Pilots, Weiland a formé le supergroupe Velvet Revolver avec d'anciens membres de Guns N' Roses. Avec Velvet Revolver, il a sorti leur album de début *Contraband* (2004), qui a atteint la première place des classements américains.
