Pete Rock, de son vrai nom Peter Phillips, est un DJ, producteur de disques et rappeur américain né à New York en 1968. Considéré comme l'un des pionniers du hip hop underground, Pete Rock a acquis une renommée internationale dans les années 1990 grâce à son style de production caractérisé par des échantillons jazzistiques et funk, créant des ambiances relaxantes et des grooves irrésistibles.
