Arch Enemy è una band svedese di melodic death metal formatasi nel 1996. Considerata una delle più influenti del genere, la band ha raggiunto un successo internazionale grazie a sonorità aggressive e melodie orecchiabili. Tra i membri fondatori si annovera Michael Amott, chitarrista e compositore principale, insieme al fratello Christopher Amott. Angela Gossow, cantante dalla voce potente e carismatica, è entrata nel gruppo nel 1999, diventando una figura iconica del metal femminile. Arch Enemy ha pubblicato numerosi album di successo, tra cui "Anthems of the Damned" (2003), "Doomsday Machine" (2005) e "Khaos Legions" (2014). I brani più rappresentativi includono "Nemesis", "Ravenous" e "My Apocalypse". Nel 2019, Angela Gossow ha lasciato la band per dedicarsi ad altre attività, venendo sostituita da Alissa White-Gluz.
