Nathaniel David Rateliff è un cantautore statunitense nato nel 1980 a Hermann, Missouri. La sua musica fonde elementi di rhythm and blues, folk, americana e rock vintage, creando un sound caldo e autentico che lo ha reso uno dei cantautori più apprezzati degli ultimi anni. Rateliff ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale suonando in locali del suo stato natale prima di trasferirsi a Denver, Colorado, dove ha formato il gruppo The Night Sweats. Il loro album d'esordio omonimo (2015) è diventato un successo internazionale, grazie al singolo "S.O.B." che ha raggiunto le classifiche americane. Rateliff è noto per le sue performance energiche e coinvolgenti, caratterizzate da una voce potente e emotiva. Oltre ai The Night Sweats, Rateliff ha collaborato con artisti come Sturgill Simpson e la band indie folk The Lumineers. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
