La Roux è un duo musicale britannico formatosi a Londra nel 2008 da Elly Jackson (voce) e Ben Langmaid (produzione, tastiere). Il loro sound si ispira al synthpop degli anni '80, con influenze di artisti come Yazoo, The Human League, Heaven 17 e Blancmange. Il nome del gruppo deriva dai capelli rossi di Elly Jackson. La Roux ha raggiunto il successo internazionale nel 2009 con il singolo "In for the Kill", che ha dominato le classifiche britanniche e europee. L'album di debutto omonimo, pubblicato nello stesso anno, è stato accolto con grande entusiasmo dalla critica e ha venduto milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Tra i brani più noti del gruppo figurano anche "Bulletproof" e "Quicksand". La Roux si è sciolta nel 2014 per poi tornare a collaborare nel 2018 con l'uscita dell'album "Supervision".
