Aoife O'Donovan è una cantautrice e musicista irlandese, nota per il suo stile folk ricco di melodie tradizionali e arrangiamenti moderni. Nata in Irlanda nel 1982, si trasferisce negli Stati Uniti all'età di sette anni. Inizia a suonare la chitarra e a cantare fin da bambina, influenzata dalla musica tradizionale irlandese e americana. Nel 2005 forma il gruppo folk Crooked Still, con cui registra tre album di successo fino al 2013. Nel frattempo, collabora con artisti come The Punch Brothers e I'm With Her, dimostrando una versatilità musicale che spazia dal bluegrass al folk contemporaneo. Nel 2016 pubblica il suo album solista di debutto, "In the Magic Hour", accolto dalla critica con grande entusiasmo.
