Nitin Sawhney è un musicista, produttore discografico e compositore britannico di origini indiane, nato a Londra nel 1965. Considerato uno dei pionieri della musica elettronica fusion, Sawhney fonde elementi tradizionali dell'India con sonorità jazz, ambient e world music. La sua musica è caratterizzata da un approccio sperimentale e innovativo, esplorando nuove tecnologie musicali e strumenti inusuali. Nel corso della sua carriera, Sawhney ha collaborato con artisti di fama internazionale come Björk, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan e Massive Attack. Ha composto colonne sonore per film e spettacoli teatrali, tra cui "The Buddha of Suburbia" di Hanif Kureishi e "East is East". Tra i suoi album più importanti figurano "Beyond Skin" (1998), "India" (2003) e "Immigrant" (2010). Alcuni dei suoi brani più rappresentativi includono "The Last Emperor", "A Thousand Years" e "Sunrise". Sawhney ha ricevuto numerosi premi per la sua musica, tra cui il Mercury Prize nel 1999.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
