Duran Duran è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Birmingham nel 1978. Considerati uno dei pilastri del movimento new romantic degli anni '80, hanno raggiunto il successo internazionale grazie al loro sound synth-pop caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili e testi evocativi, spesso incentrati su temi di amore, perdita e ossessione. Il gruppo è composto da Simon Le Bon (voce), Nick Rhodes (tastiere), John Taylor (basso), Roger Taylor (batteria) e Andy Taylor (chitarra). Duran Duran ha venduto oltre 100 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo, ottenendo numerosi successi internazionali come "Rio", "Hungry Like the Wolf", "Save a Prayer" e "The Reflex". Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
