I Seether est un groupe sud-africain de post-grunge formé à Johannesburg en 1999. Les membres fondateurs du groupe sont Shaun Morgan (chant, guitare), David Cohoe (batterie) et Dale Stewart (basse). Influencés par des groupes comme Alice in Chains, Deftones, Creed et Nirvana, I Seether ont connu un succès international avec des albums comme "Disclaimer" (2005) et "Karma and Effect" (2007), qui ont accueilli des singles populaires tels que "Broken" et "Remedy". Leur musique se caractérise par des riffs lourds, des mélodies accrocheuses et des paroles introspectives qui explorent des thèmes de douleur, de colère et d'espoir. Outre Cohoe et Stewart, le groupe a connu plusieurs changements de formation au cours des années, avec l'arrivée de nouveaux musiciens comme Ian Haak (guitare) et John Humphrey (basse). I Seether restent une force importante dans le paysage musical post-grunge, en publiant des albums et en faisant des tournées dans le monde entier.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
