Chase Atlantic est un groupe musical australien formé à Cairns, en Queensland, en 2014. Le trio, composé de Christian Anthony, Mitchel Cave et Stephen Kozmeniuk, se distingue par son son R and B alternatif caractérisé par des influences dark, rap, pop, punk et indie rock. Leur musique est souvent décrite comme sombre et introspective, avec des paroles qui explorent des thèmes d'amour, de perte, de solitude et d'identité. Chase Atlantic a acquis une large base de fans internationale grâce à ses singles viraux sur des plateformes comme SoundCloud et YouTube. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus populaires figurent "Her", "Slow Down" et "Friends". Le groupe a sorti trois albums studio : "Phases" (2018), "Beauty in Death" (2020) et "Chase Atlantic" (2023).

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
