Steps était un groupe pop britannique actif de 1997 à 2001. Le nom du groupe dérive d'un simple stratagème marketing : chaque vidéo musicale était chorégraphiée et les pas de danse étaient inclus avec la plupart de leurs singles. Le groupe a vendu plus de 15 millions d'albums, atteignant 14 singles consécutifs dans le Top 5, un exploit dépassé seulement par Boyzone (avec 17), Oasis (avec 18) et The Beatles et Westlife (tous deux avec 20). Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives figurent "5, 4, 3, 2, 1", "Tragedy" et "Heartbeat".
