Tindersticks sont un groupe de rock originaire de Nottingham, en Angleterre. Leur son est caractérisé par un accompagnement orchestral, le jazz lounge et le soul ; les orchestrations du multi-instrumentiste Dickon Hinchliffe (qui a quitté le groupe en 2006) et le baryton du chanteur principal Stuart A. Staples sont les traits distinctifs du groupe. Tindersticks enrichissent leur instrumentation avec un piano Rhodes, un glockenspiel, un vibraphone, un violon, une trompette, un trombone, un clarinette, un basson, un orgue Hammond et bien d'autres encore. Le groupe a sorti onze albums studio entre 1995 et 2023, gagnant un public de critiques et du public pour leur atmosphère évoquant et leurs mélodies mélancoliques. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus représentatifs figurent 'Curtains', 'The Last Post' et 'City of Ghosts'.
