Rae Sremmurd est un duo musical américain composé des frères Khalif "Swae Lee" Brown et Aaquil "Slim Jxmmi" Brown, originaires de Tupelo, Mississippi. Leur style musical se situe principalement dans le genre hip hop, caractérisé par des rythmes accrocheurs et des paroles souvent ironiques et ludiques. Le duo a atteint la renommée internationale avec des singles comme "No Flex Zone", "No Type" et surtout "Black Beatles", une collaboration avec Gucci Mane qui est devenue un phénomène viral grâce à son association avec le Mannequin Challenge. Le nom Rae Sremmurd dérive du nom de leur maison de disques, Ear Drummers, prononcé à l'envers.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
