Les Gravediggaz étaient un groupe de hip-hop américain de New York City, connus pour leur sens de l'humour sombre et leurs paysages sonores abrasifs et menaçants. Le groupe s'est formé en 1994 et était effectivement un supergroupe, réunissant Prince Paul (The Undertaker), Frukwan (The Gatekeeper), Too Poetic (The Grym Reaper) et RZA (The Rzarector). Ils sont largement considérés comme l'un des groupes les plus influents et pionniers du sous-genre hip-hop horrorcore. Leur album de début, *6 Feet Deep*, est considéré comme un classique du genre, avec des morceaux comme "Diary of a Madman" et "The Grave Digger's Theme". Les Gravediggaz ont contribué à définir l'esthétique et le son de l'horrorcore, influençant des générations d'artistes par la suite.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
