Jason Derulo, né Jason Joel Desrouleaux le 21 septembre 1989, est un chanteur, auteur-compositeur, acteur et danseur américain. Après avoir produit des disques pour plusieurs artistes et avoir écrit des chansons pour Cash Money Records, le cofondateur du label Birdman, le propriétaire de Young Money Entertainment Lil Wayne et le rappeur Diddy, Derulo a signé avec l'étiquette discographique Beluga Heights. Après que Beluga Heights soit devenue partie du groupe Warner Music Group, Derulo a sorti son premier single, "Whatcha Say", en mai 2009.
