Carnage était un groupe de death metal suédois formé en 1988 par Michael Amott et Johan Liiva. Considérée comme l'une des premières formations du genre en Suède, elle a fortement influencé la scène musicale locale. Après avoir sorti leur album éponyme "Carnage" en 1990, le groupe s'est dissous en 1991. Les membres de Carnage ont ensuite formé d'autres groupes à succès comme Dismember et Arch Enemy, contribuant ainsi à façonner le paysage mondial du death metal. Parmi les morceaux les plus représentatifs de Carnage, on peut citer "The Beast", "Bloodlust" et "Death of the Soul".
