N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) était un groupe de hip hop américain formé à Compton, en Californie, dans les années 1980. Considérés comme les pionniers du gangsta rap, ils ont eu une influence énorme sur la musique et la culture populaire. Leur style musical brut et direct reflétait les réalités difficiles de la vie dans les communautés afro-américaines des États-Unis, abordant des thèmes tels que la pauvreté, la violence et le racisme. Parmi les membres les plus connus figurent Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren et DJ Yella. Leur album de début, *Straight Outta Compton* (1988), est considéré comme un classique du genre et a contribué à faire connaître le gangsta rap au grand public. N.W.A s'est dissous en 1991 après une série de controverses et de disputes internes. Leur impact sur la musique hip hop a été énorme, influençant des générations d'artistes et contribuant à définir l'esthétique et les thèmes du genre. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives figurent : *Straight Outta Compton*, *Fuck tha Police*, *Express Yourself*.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
