C-Murder, de son vrai nom Corey Miller, est un rappeur et acteur américain né à New Orleans, en Louisiane, en 1970. Actif depuis 1994, il a gagné en popularité dans les années 1990 avec son album de début "Life After Death" (1998) et sa suite "Bossalini" (2000). Son style musical est caractérisé par des rimes agressives et des paroles introspectives qui abordent des thèmes comme la violence, la pauvreté et la vie dans le ghetto. C-Murder a collaboré avec des artistes renommés tels que Snoop Dogg, Master P et B.G., contribuant à définir le son du hip hop du Sud. En 2009, il a été condamné pour meurtre et se trouve actuellement en prison. Malgré sa situation juridique, C-Murder reste une icône de la scène rap américaine, rappelé pour ses performances énergiques et ses paroles percutantes.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
