Scissor Sisters est un groupe américain de pop rock et musique dance formé à New York en 2000. Le groupe est composé de Jake Shears (chant), Babydaddy (claviers, guitare), Ana Matronic (chœurs) et Del Marquis (basse). Connus pour leur son synth-pop énergique et leurs performances théâtrales, Scissor Sisters ont atteint la renommée internationale avec leur album éponyme en 2004, qui a inclus des succès comme "Laura", "Take Your Mama" et "Comfortably Numb". Leur deuxième album, "Scissor Sisters II" (2006), a consolidé leur succès avec des morceaux tels que "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'", et "Kiss You Off". Scissor Sisters ont collaboré avec des artistes comme Elton John et Kylie Minogue. Le groupe s'est séparé en 2012, mais Jake Shears a poursuivi une carrière solo.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
