Obsidian Gate est un groupe musical formé en 1994. Leur style musical se situe dans le metal progressif et le metal avant-gardiste, caractérisé par des ambiances sombres et expérimentales. Parmi leurs albums les plus notables figurent "Colossal Christhunt", "The Nightspectral Voyage" et "The Vehemence". Le groupe a contribué à définir le paysage musical underground des années 90 avec un son innovant et complexe, influencé par des artistes comme King Crimson et Tool.
