Big Boi, dont le vrai nom est Antwan André Patton, est un rappeur et producteur de disques américain né à Atlanta, en Géorgie, en 1971. Connu pour être l'un des membres fondateurs du duo de hip-hop Outkast, il a contribué à définir le son du rap du Sud dans les années 1990 et 2000. Big Boi se distingue par ses performances énergiques, ses paroles complexes et sa capacité à mélanger des éléments de funk, soul et jazz au rap traditionnel. Outre sa carrière avec Outkast, il a entamé une carrière solo prolifique, publiant des albums comme "Sir Lucious Left Foot: Lord of the Tresses" (2010) et "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" (2012). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
