Brand New è una band alternative rock originaria di Long Island, New York. Formatasi nel 1996, il gruppo ha raggiunto la notorietà negli anni 2000 con album come *Your Favorite Weapon* (2001), *Deja Entendu* (2003) e *The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me* (2006). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
