Chrisette Michele Payne, connue simplement sous le nom de Chrisette Michele, est une chanteuse et compositrice américaine née à Los Angeles, Californie. Active depuis 2007, elle a captivé le public avec sa voix puissante et ses mélodies soul influencées par le R and B contemporain. Son album de début, "I Am Chrisette Michele", sorti en 2007, lui a valu un contrat d'enregistrement avec Def Jam Recordings. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
